Unser Lager schmeckt nach Biergeschichte! Denn Lagerbier wurde schon vor über 150 Jahren in Hamburg gebraut. Was liegt also näher, als wieder ein Hamburger Lager zu brauen und zwar so wie es früher einmal war: echt, hanseatisch, frisch!

Draught at Altes Madchen. Clear gold with a thin head. Aroma is grainy malt. Flavor is malty, sweet, caramel, dusty finish.

The beer is grainy and smooth. Not too deep. Grainy, fresh, easy to drink. Not much bitterness, more grain with not much sweetness.

Keg at the brewpub, 16/07/15. Clear golden with a decent off white covering. Nose is pale malts, light citric rinds, bread dough. Taste comprises pale malt, at raw, lemon rind, light bread. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok lager.

Bottle from Voldby. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, hay and moderate hoppy - straw. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 260615

Bottle. Creamy White good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Grain and hay. Light bitter nice flavor. Average light bitter finish. Oily palate.

12th Dec 2014, second beer on the tasting tray at Altes Mädchen. The wife had a 0.3 litre glass of it as I drank my way through the five samples. Came a clear and bright golden colour with a thinning white head. Aroma had a mild citrus lead with a herbal hint. The taste was leaning towards a mini-sweetness but turn mid-sip into a drier, more hoppy beer which finished dry and slightly on the bitter side. Nice and refreshing.
