Bottle at home, cellared this one for a year. Pours deep copper with quickly disappearing beige head. Nose is sweet boozy, it actually reminds me of bourbon. Toasted malts, biscuits, caramel, a touch of hay and honey. Taste is sweet booze again, bready malts, toasted notes, honey, vanilla. Light to medium body, soft carbonation, closes with a long lasting, warmingly sweet finish. Lovely.

Bottle. Dark brown color. Caramel and bready malt in the aroma and flavor. Hint of chocolate. Sweet, full bodied, slightly alcoholic. tasty doppelbock.

Tap at Hopaholic, Budapest. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a mostly lasting frothy off white head. The aroma is burnt treacle toffee malt, red berry fruits. The flavour is moderate to strong sweet witn a smooth, rich, slightly oily, sweet toffee malt, fruity, light warm alcohol bitter palate. Full bodied with flat carbonation. This is how to make a doppelbock!

Bottle from Pezinská pivná pumpa Dried fruits on nose, some wheaty char. Sweetish, plum, lightly sour, dried fruits,reisins. Tasty.

0.33l bottle. Very dark ruby body with an off white head. Aroma and taste of caramel, raisins, toast, orange zest, plums and dates. The alcohol is well hidden. Great doppelbock.

Kicsi, gyorsan elillanó hab, egészen sötétbarna, majdnem fekete szín. Pörkölt malátás, karamelles illat, némi aszalt gyümölcs és füszerek aromáival. Édeskés, pörkölt malátás, karamelles ízek, aszalt szilvás és egy pici fűszeres beütéssel. Közepesen testes, közepesen szénsavas, enyhén keserű. Kellemes sör, de használna neki egy kis érleles.
