This Imperial IPA is truly heavenly; we hop it intensely, and then balance it with local honey for a result that's both powerful and extremely drinkable.

33 cl bottle @ home
Aroma is quite heavy lots of resin, pine needles, biscuits, caramel, vanilla, some berries and malty notes. Flavour is somewhat hoppy with woody notes, some resin, pine needles and vanilla. Also a feeling of alcohol. Heavy stuff, more like (imperial) amber ale or American strong ale. Too sweet but works as a slow sipper.

355ml bottle from a trade, thanks cp45!

Pours dark orange with a small white head. Aroma of caramely malts, stingy hops, hints of solvent and grass. Taste is boozy, malty and caramely with notes of syrup, stingy notes and fruits. Finish is hoppy, bitter and sweet with notes of grass, honey and syrup. Sweet but bitter and hoppy DIPA that feels more like a Barley Wine or American Strong Ale.

12 oz bottle. Pours a hazed caramel orange with an off-white head. Citrusy, somewhat sweet resinous aroma, maybe some tropical fruit and some spicy note. Flavor has citrus hops and pine balanced with nice, somewhat sweet biscuit and caramel. Certainly quite tasty.

Bottle pour to snifter. Big, creamy, persistent head. Brown-gold, darker than typical IPA/DIPA. Aroma: fresh, sweet, piney. Super hoppy at 115 IBU with a heavy malt presence makes it full bodied and covers the high ABV. Definitely one to buy again!

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass; no bottle dating, but was released recently. Pours very hazy reddish orange color with a nice 2 finger dense cream colored head with incredible retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of big orange zest, grapefruit, orange rind, peach, pineapple, pine, floral, honey, caramel, bread, floral earthiness, and pine resin. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of hop notes; with good malt balance that isn’t overdone. Taste of orange zest, pineapple, orange rind, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, pine, floral, honey, caramel, and floral earthiness. Good amount of piney citrus bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus zest, citrus rind, pineapple, peach, pine resin, floral, honey, caramel, and floral earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic balance and complexity of hop flavors; with a solid malt balance that isn’t too strong; and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a creamy, sticky, lightly slick, and lightly crisp mouthfeel that is very nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with hardly any warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a highly excellent DIPA! Great balance and complexity of hop flavors with solid malt balance; and dangerously smooth to sip on. A highly enjoyable offering.

Bottle. Murky red-brown body, thick, puffy, dense cream head. Sweet nose with potent sugared citrus rind, honey, and bread dough providing an interplay of sweet and bitter elements. Sweet, chewy, bitter body with complex elements of citrus rind, flower petals, sugars, and bubblegum backed by sharp, warming alcohol. Soft, pillowy body. Long herbal, bitter, somewhat vegetal finish that leaves a lingering somewhat unpleasant impression. A lot going on here, and the finish is really the only weak element.

12oz bottle thanks to Timbo
Appearance: Pours hazy amber with a medium sized off-white head and lots of sticky lacing
Aroma: Grapefruit, pine resin and some hot alcohols
Taste: Grapefruit, pine resin, caramel with a bitter dry finish
A very nice DIPA. Hoppy bitterness throughout, just the way I like ’em.

Bottle: Poured caramel cloudy coppery brown with a huge fluffy off white head. The aroma is strong hops citrus and pine. Taste is a tangy hops forward citrus and pine needle, very tingly and lively through. Seems to be a peppery spice finish.

On tap at the Haymarket Greenbush event. Pours a near clear earthy orange with an off white head that lasts throughout the beer and laces thickly. Aroma has a combination of flora and sweet citrus with a backing honey sweetness. Flavor has more citrus throughout that is slightly bitter with a nice underlying honey note.
