This Imperial IPA is truly heavenly; we hop it intensely, and then balance it with local honey for a result that's both powerful and extremely drinkable.

bottle - This brew has an aroma of citrus and resinous hops. The flavor is similar with the citrus and resin accented hops dominating the caramel malt. It’s intensely bitter with full bodied malt. It’s strong and very good though doesn’t quite jump out like some of the top beers in the style.

Very nicely glowing amber coloured body with copper, orange and peach highlights, all with a thinnish, one centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of bright hops - citrus, grapefruit and a touch of resin. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong hop notes at first with quite a bit of malt, all balanced with a touch of pineapple and tropical fruit sweetness, a bit of earthiness and a subdued alcohol burn. Aftertaste shows a nice balanced taste with the majority of flavours going to the hops, naturally, all with some pineapple sweetness, a bit of pine bitterness and a little earthiness. Overall, a great imperial IPA with some deep flavours but nothing bitter nor offensive - all with a complex set of hops and a solid malt profile. Definitely worth trying if you can find it! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Merchant’s in Dearborn, Michigan on 02-August-2013 for US$3.79 sampled on the train to New York on 31-October-2013.

Bottle. Pours a massive foamy head with a little bit of hazy copper liquid under it. Aromas of resin and pine with a little bit of sweetness. Flavor is kind of grainy with lots of resin and a little bit of tropical fruit at the tail end. Alcohol is obvious and warm, which is good coz I’m working on this damn broken laptop.
