From tap at STOOM, Nijmegen. Aroma is sweet dark malt with plenty of maple syrup, vanilla, soft roast, chocolate, caramel, and notes of Bourbon. Flavour is sweet with a mild bitterness. Body is full, drinks below its hefty abv. Sweet and smooth, tasty.

pours dark brown - nearly black. Medium small to small , slightly tanned head. Scent is simple, sweeter style of roastyness, but not overly creamy - hiding the adjuncts and barrel, beïng moderate on it's overall intensity. Taste is weird, dried spices - clove come to mind- at an overpowering level. No vanilla, no maple, no BBA. Just.. Dried spices, and too much of it for sure. Alcohol seems like its in the lower range, south of 10 to me. it might be very hidden, which would be a good thing, or... Is this a error labeled beer? It tastes nothing Like i expected, and in this case, that's not a compliment. Drinkable, still, but less than preferable, whilst I was expecting liquid greatness...

Bottle. Black pour. Aroma of sweet candi sugar, caramel, maple, chocolate, licorice, vanilla and burned malt. Taste has bitter maple, burned caramel, vanilla, candi sugar, sweet bourbon, booze, malt, molasses and a boozy sweet finish. Yes, the maple, sugar and vanilla are really sweet, but for me the bourbon hotness provides good base for it. Nice one.

330ml bottle. Opaque, darkest brown colour with small, creamy, half-way lasting, minimalyl lacing, beige head. Sweet-ish, flavoured, dark malty aroma, notes of maple syrup, hints of vanilla, a touch of cinnamon, wafer, minimally floral, hoppy overtones, whiffs of Bourbon. Taste is sweet-ish, flavoured, dark malty, hints of maple syrup, vanilla, honey, wafer. Oily texture, smooth and soft palate, soft carbonation; warming, alcoholic finish. Rather well hidden alcohol, quite heavy and knocking your socks off nevertheless; too boozy for a comparatively low spectrum and depth of flavours.
