Bottle at home shared with Laura. Amber-ish color, small off-white head. Aroma and flavor are malts, rather bitter tbh which surprises me a little, lightly raisins. Don't get much more. Still quite pleasant though, but to me it's a bit off from the usual Quadrupels. Doesn't mean it's wrong though. I like it in the end.

Bottle from Beerdome. Light hazy amber with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, dried fruit, candy sugar and yeasty. Flavor is very sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and moderate bitter finish with warming alcohol. 030323

33cl bottle. A orange brown beer with a beige lacing. Aroma of dark caramelized malt, dried fruits and spices. Taste of dark strong caramelized malt, dried fruits, spices.

Mild herber, leicht süßer Beginn. Angenehm hefig-herb ohne aufdringlich zu sein, spritzig, der Alkohol ist nicht erkennbar. Spritzig, weich, mittellanger Abgang - gelungen. 10/9/10/10/11/10

This 330 ml bottle of Saga came to me through a nice European retailer, glad to get it. I have my Teku in place to catch the pour, an unusual for a quad red-amber body with a complementary cover of eggshell brown foam that persists. I lift the glass for a smell, ripe fruit, grain and hard candy. A drink, the taste is quite good in my opinion. Figs, cherries, biscuit, malt and a touch of caramel. There’s a nice sweetness with a small bitterness at the conclusion. A pleasing brew in my favorite style.

(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 6 May 2022) Amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, spicy nose with caramel, dried fruit, candy sugar and spices (cinnamon, nutmeg). Malty taste with dried fruit, raisins, figs, prunes, candy sugar and a mild spicy bitterness in a warming finish. Full body, quite sweet. Powerful and warming, still really tasty and well balanced. Very nice.

Tap at Arendsnest, 6th July 22. Pours a dark and hazy orange, aroma is orange and candied fruits. Taste is citrus, caramel, banana, candied fruit, crushed peach, booze and bourbon, vanilla. It’s complex and fun
