A black beer with a tan head. Aroma of strong dark roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, liquorice, ash. Taste of mocca, roasted dark malt, some smoked malt, caramel, liquorice.

Can. A black one, topped by a dense tan head. Lacing. The aroma has roasted malts, coffee, tar, soy sauce, dark chocolate and a faint smoked hint. Some alcohol. It's full bodied, sweet and lightly warming, with a really pleasant carbonation. The flavor is lightly alcoholic, sweet, with lots of malty flavors. Soy, dark chocolate, coffee grit, tar and charcoal. Lasting finish. A nice one indeed. 240516

--Sample, thanks fonefan! -- Pitch black, small brown head. Intense aroma of smokey licorice and chocolate. Mid sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Chocolate and ashy licorice. Very bitter finish with evident alcohol.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Black colour, small off-white head. Aroma is liquorice and some mild chocolate with a bit nutty and biscuity tones. Flavour is liquorice, chocolate and some mild wooden and biscuity tones with mild alcohol tones tones to it.

ABV: 11.5%. Clear dark black brown colour with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light brown to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark malt, sweet malt, coffee, licorice, chocolate, moderate molasses. Flavor is light heavy sweet and light bitter with a long duration, muscovado sugar, chocolate, coffee, dark malt, roastd, sweet malt, cuttle fish touch. Body is medium to full, texture is creamy, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20240222]
