Can from Lidl. Fake craft, yay. Lovely clear copper body, lasting off white head. Looks fine. The aroma immediately reveals problems, full, malty, honey, but somewhat stale, with alcohol obviously there and some acetaldehyde/green apple. Sweet, lean taste, acetaldehyde and solvent perching on sugary sweet maltiness in the background, medium alcohol. Flawed and ugly. Drinkable but ugly. How to drink cheap piss that will get you drunk fast without care for your palate and not look like a total hobo? Why, Steam Brew's your choice!

0.5 l can from a local Lidl store, shared with Marko and Anna God. Clear amber, small to a medium sized off-white head. Lots of green apple in the aroma. Bready and caramel notes. Metallic. Boozy, burnt caramel, sharp. Apple still present. Light to a medium body. Moderate finish, strong. Lousy.

Can, 0.5l. From local Lidl. Deep ruby pour, one finger frothy off-white head. Pretty good retention, nice lacing as it goes down. Nose is quite basic but not bad, malt and grains, good grassy and herbal notes. Thin body, soft carbonation. Light mouthfeel, average texture. Not completely watery. Boozy bittersweet taste. Aroma of lager malts, grains and hay. Mild caramel in the aftertaste as it warms up. Strong alcohol presence, quite boozy. Mild grassy hops. Drying mouthfeel with lingering alcohol burn. Medium lasting finish. Overall, a bit too boozy for my taste. Alcohol overpowered pretty much everything else in here. For what it is I guess it's decent enough but not something I'd go back to.

Actually quite malty for a red, with little hop bitterness as the style should be. Underrated because it’s a Lidl supermarket beer.

Smooth and slightly grainy sweetish beginning. Easy to drink, round and grainy with a sweetish caramelly body. Not bad, easy to drink with a sweetish alcoholic finish. Sessionable boozy.

(can) Clear, dark amber colour with a slightly beige medium-sized foamy head. Discreet aroma of caramel and a whiff of molasses and metal. Sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a moderate carbonation. Dark malty base with notes of molasses, caramel and subtle fruity hints; stickily sweet molassy finish with traces of grassy hops. Can. Clear red-tinged amber/copper with a small white head. Aroma of malts, caramel, grains and stale hops. Reminds me of many saturday mornings in my younger days actually. Taste of malts, some caramel, a little bit of grains and metal. Stale hops shine again. Medium carbonation. On the plus-side I think the alcohol is rather well hidden. All in all it's just another low-cost beer that tastes accordingly. As with the other pseudo-craft offerings from Steam Brew I can sense the heartburn right away.
