375ml can into schooner glass. From Dan Murphy's, Armidale. Pours a murky red/brown with a large head of foam and thousands of tiny bubbles streaming upwards. Aroma of smoky malt with a few floral notes. Lightly carbonated in the mouth, almost flat. Smooth texture, light fruit with late smoky malt. Old style ale, reminiscent of an English Bitter. Very nice as a sessioner.

Can. Unclear dark brownish red with a 2cm off white head. Aroma is earthy and bready with orange peel, mint, honeydew melon. Quite a bit of body, moderate carbonation. The taste is much bolder than suggested by the aroma with singed toffee, chocolate, Vegemite, before (pretty strongly) bitter, citrus and spicy flavours at the end. Good stuff. Like the stentorian finish.
