Bottle at oak aged festival. Nice reddish brown with small off white head. Camomille, herbs, lavender, vanilla, dry spicy, dried leaves. Light sweet. Medium bodied and dry feel. Very weird, but not bad, just can’t image drinking a bottle of this.

Rerate: bottle from het Biermoment, medium sample. Slight hazy amber color, short frothy head. Big aroma of wood, flowery, lavender, some sweet vanilla, caramel, raisin. But all blended in a very nice way actually. The palo santo wood really adds something to the quadrupel and I can see more experimenting with this kind of wood. Quite sweet in flavor, with vanilla from the wood, but also fruity and flowery notes. Quite lovely actually. Upgrading to 4,0. Original rate: Sample @ PINT Winterbier 2015, tick. Slight hazy orange to amber color, short frothy head. Huge aroma of flowery wood, lavender, dryish burned wood, slight caramel and raisin. Bit sweet in taste, bit spicy. The wood is very present and quite overwhelming. Would like to try a bigger sample actually now that I think of it, but wonder if it improves upon sample size. Probably the other way around. 3.1 --- Beer merged from original tick of & Walsh Kracht Hout on 12 Nov 2017 at 01:21 - Score: 8

Small sample at PINT Winterbierfestival 2015, Gouda. Brownish color, average sized off-white head. Weird aroma and flavor. Does this come from the wood? I don’t like it, sweetish, weird herbal and weird perfumy flavor and aroma. Nice experiment, but not my thing at all.

Hazy dark blond colour. Aroma and flavour are bizarre seemingly from the Palo Santo wood. There’s all sorts of spices in there too. It’s very perfumed and soapy.
