Pours dark brown with a small head. Aroma of wood, mint, herbs, spices, vanilla, earthiness and malts. Taste is herbal, spicy and heavy with some wood, mint and earthiness. Finish is spicy, herbal and minty with some vanilla and wood. Quite untypical.

Pint Oak Aged Beer Festival 2015 @ Stadsbrouwerij De Pelgrim, Rotterdam. Bottle. Veel alcohol en houten vaten doen een hoop. Dat bewijst deze kamille thee die toch beduidend lekkerder is dan kamille thee. Backlog from 2015/03/15. --- Beer merged from original tick of & Walsh Kracht Hout on 15 Mar 2015 at 17:27 - Score: 7. (Draught at Craft & Draft, Amsterdam, 28 Aug 2015) Dark brown colour with dense, beige head. Malty nose with oak wood, dried fruit, raisins, caramel, prunes and a touch of cinnamon. Malty taste with notes of caramel, oak wood, prunes, dark rye bread, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and some warming alcohol in a finish with a gentle spicy bitterness. Full body, quite sweet. Lots of oak and spices, possibly a touch too sweet. Hardly balanced, but tasty and quite nice.

[9/23/15] Draught at Craft & Draft in Amsterdam. Muddy amber-brown. Aroma of yeast, coconut, candied fruits, a bit of mint. Sweet flavor with caramel, coconut, candied fruits, wood, and a mildly bitterish finish with some alcohol. Medium-bodied.

Sampled at NHBF’15. Dark brown colour, beige head. Aroma is quite sweet, sweet herbs, like liquorice root, a bit like cough syrup, malts. Flavour is also quite sweet, malty, spicy, it’s a bit too heavy on the Palo Santo wood, liquorice root (not like in "drop"), caraway, some vanilla, bittersweet finish with some alcohol. Medium bodied. Nice, but cloying after a while.
