Pours a very clear and pale lemon. Scent is medium intense on the elderberry, quite herbal and raw. Taste is soft, gentle, semi-sweet honey base. Elderberries are fairly pronounced (i'd say medium) , with a pleasant fruityness combines with an earthy, herbal character. Even though I'm typically not a fan of elderflower or berry, this is quite enjoyable, and provides a better balance than both this meadery's cherry and redcurrent versions.
