0.33 l bottle from the museum shop in Bourtange. Hazy, golden orange with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, quite herbal-spicy, gently fruity aroma of bog myrtle, ginger, juniper and some lemon. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, rather herbal-spicy and slightly fruity taste of grains, bog myrtle, juniper, ginger and light lemon, followed by a short, gently bitter finish. Medium body, quite effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Fairly herbal stuff, didn't expect that at all. Quite enjoyable though if you're into such kind of beers.

0,33 l bottle from Slijterij Bij Thijs, Vlagtwedde. BB 06/25. Cloudy yellow golden in the glass, small white head. Sweet herbal pale grainy aroma. Taste starts medical herbal, pale grain, some citrus. Little bit above average carbonated. Some bitterness in the aftertaste. Not my kind of stuff.

Bottle. Color: Murky brownish orange, off-white head. Aroma: Herbal / spicy and malty. Taste: Malty, earthy, quite strong herbal spicy. Some camphor. According to the label, only (historical) grains are used and no herbs or spices. If that's true, I am amazed about the spicyness of these grains. Long lasting finish. Medium body, below average carbonation. Moderate to over moderate sweet, moderate bitterness going to over moderate at the finish. A little bit soapy mouthfeel. Unusual brew for sure and I pretty much like it. Glad to have tasted it, thanks to my parents in law who were on holiday in the Bourtange area.

Bottle at final THT at Kwartje. Bit hazy golden. Floral, mint, gagel, eucalyptus, sweet malts. Medium sweet and bitter. Bit weird.
