Taking its name from those ever delicious breakfast oats, this beer utilising a complex malt bill and healthy dose of rolled oats making it is creamy, roasty and giving it that iconic oatmeal stout smoothness, a perfect stout for all seasons.

Tap at the brewery. Pours near black, small beige head, great lacing. Coffee, light roast, creamy aroma. Taste follows aroma, very moreish, hint of liquorice with a dry finish, and cocoa dusting. Smooth body. Lovely.

Forholdvis pålitelige notater fra en travel dag på The Great British Beer Festival, London 02.08.22: brunsvart, flott cremeskum som varer helt ned. Kaffe, mørke sjokolader, hiont av eukalyuptus og røykmalt. Pussig kombo, men det fungerer. Myk munnfølelse, behagelig bitterhet og litt bærsyre i avslutningen. Mersmak.

3/8/2022. Keg at GBBF 2022, day 2. Pours black with a small frothy tan coloured head. Aroma of ash, chocolate, roasted malt, dark fruits, caramel, molasses. Moderate sweetness, moderate roasted bitterness, slight tart edge. Moderate body, slightly creamy, quite fizzy. Good, but too carbonated.

Keg at the Halton Turner taproom, Bingohame RB meet, 02/07/22. Black with a good sized lasting tan head. Nose is earthy roast, charr, umami, chocolate, biscuit, light spice. Taste comprises dried fruits, chocolate, light salt, liquorice, cocoa powder, charr. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close. Decent stout.

Draft: Poured a black brown with a light brown lacing head. Aroma is roasted malts, molasses, caramel, chocolate. Taste is roasted malts, toasty, bit buttery, chocolate.

From tap the Halton Turner at the Birmingham Ratebeer Convention 02.07.22. Ebony, Brown head and lacing. Aroma and taste of roased malt and bonfire. Low bitterness.

Keg at the brewery. Cotteridge convention. An opaque black coloured pour with a lasting creamy light tan head. Aroma is earthy roast, char, mealy apple, burnt sugars. Flavour is composed of dry roast, meaty, charred barrel, jammy fruits, oats. Palate is semi sweet. Light tang, highish carbonation ok.

Tap at Cherry Reds, Birmingham. Poured almost black with a mostly lasting frothy tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, caramel, hazelnuts. The flavour is moderate sweet, light liqourice bitter, with a smooth, roasty, light chocolate coffee, earthy, light liqourice bitter. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.
