Recuperamos una de nuestras cervezas más exitosas del año pasado. Esta Imperial Stout aúna en una sola cerveza los matices a torrefactos de la base de maltas, junto al extra de dulzor de la lactosa, el toque a cacao y humo de los nibs de cacao de Papúa-Nueva Guinea y el punto alicorado de la infusión en madera de vino de Porto y Bourbon, una auténtica vorágine de aromas y sabores en uno de nuestros petróleos más complejos.
Adjuntos: lactosa, cacao de Papúa-Nueva Guinea (Kaitxo Specialty), infusionada con chipos de roble en Porto y Bourbon

Panda many thanks to Cloin. Almost clear dark brown beer, good bubbly dark tan head. Light smooth palate, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts, a mildly earthy dark chocolate. Juicy Port barrel berries and berry liqueur outmuscle the decent if mellow whiskey barrel ripe fruits. A little alcohol spice and a nice touch of oak barrel induced vanilla. Soft smoke, very soft, but it enhances this already rich brew. Finishes smooth and viscous with Port Barreling still riding strong. Lovely Impy, beautifully layered and a little outside the normal lanes. Could drink a 750 of this to myself without any problem. Well, apart from getting up the next morning!

Bottle at home, from an online peddler, 06/08/23. Bit of a gusher ... floor needed a wipe ... lose 0.1! Black with a tan head that dissipates to a swirl and edgeing. Nose is chocolate, light smoke, dark malts, spice, molasses, whisky barrel. Taste comprises dark chocolate, dried fruit rinds, spice, nip of port barrel, spice, charr, roasted tones, oak. Full bodied, light prickly carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced kiss of alcohol. Decent BA impy.

330ml shared with sleepy Ryan and Phill. Appearance: very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: port and whiskey barrel, sweetness. Taste: along the same lines, pretty nice balance between barrels, chocolatey. Overall: good one.

Poured from 330mL bottle (bb 03/2027). Near black with no head. Really nice tawny barrel notes, certain decadence in the richness, mild chocolate, a small touch boozy. Very nice.

Op tap bij Borefts '22. Zwarte kleur, dunne beige kraag. Chocolade, whisky, gebrande mout, aanzet is prima maar daarna erg zoet, zoete Port, krentjes, suikerwater, cacao. Medium tot volle body. Te zoet voor mij.

Black with no head. Aroma and flavour have quite a strong note of chocolate. Later red fruit sweetness from the Port.

Sampled @ Borefts Bier Festival 2022. A black beer. Aroma of roasted dark malt, intense coffee, wood. Taste of strong dark roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, cocoa. Lovely.
