5/V/24 - 75cl bottle @ Toer de Geuze, BB: n/a (2024-298) Thanks to all for sharing today’s beers!
Clear to little cloudy yellow blond beer, small creamy beige head, unstable, a little adhesive. Aroma: nice, lots of apples, quince, nice stuff, a bit funky. MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: nice, lots of quince, a nice acidity, a bit fruity, quince apple juice, a little bitter, earthy. Aftertaste: tannins, bitter, fruity.

Pale yellow hazy. Very floral aroma. Earthy too. Begins dry then gets more floral juicy and fruity.

750mL bottle — the cork explodes upon opening — pours a cloudy golden orange with huge amounts of sediment and an enormous white head. Aroma has some old cardboard, tart quince, subdued barnyard funk, and some perfumey notes. Flavour is pretty perfumey, with subdued tartness, even more subdued funk, and crisp apple (okay, quince) skins. Doesn't really taste like a lambic — very floral, almost earl grey tea-like on the finish. Interesting stuff, though not very lambic-like. Good but it doesn't really seem on the mark.

10 June 2023. At 15de Brugs Bierfestival. Cheers to Anke, mom, dad, et al.
A: clear golden, thin, off-white head.
A: old pear & apple, quince, dust, musty cellar (specifically the stairs while you're ascending them).
T: sour quince, apple, dust, funky cheese & vinegar.
F: tart quince, plum, wood & dust.
P: medium body, slick texture, average carbonation.
Refreshing but a tad too musty.

Sampled as De Oude Cam Kwee-peer-appel-Quince Good just off-white head over clear, well-carbonated copperish yellow beer. Chalk, horseblanket, watercolour paint, Bretts, lemonpeel. Lemony lambic, with sour apple. Lactic acid. No or hardly any trace of the (very sweet) quinces. Tart & dry. Lipsmacking acidity, acidthinning and light -burn. Refreshing. Quite restrained on fruit, good lambic. Txs to Stef!

Bottle @Luppolo Station in Rome-Italy. Yellow practically clear pour with a decently persistent (irregular) white foam. Nose: sulfur, apples far away. Mouth: frizzy, acetic, sour quiche. Mh

375ml shared with Ryan, Phill, and Nick. Vintage 2022. Appearance: murky blonde with a white head. Aroma: unique and excellent, like a tea with somw fruits. Taste: along the same lines, quite round, just a bit acidic to me. Overall: awesome!

Poured from 375mL bottle. Clear yellow gold with white head. Very nice quince character, gentle funk. Enjoyable.
