750 ml clear bottle, from Vinmonopolet Odda. Vintage 2020. ABV is 8.5%. Golden colour, pours sparkling with a moderate and shortlived white head. Nice aroma of Summerred apples. Flavour of said apples, hints of sulphites.

Small fizzy shortlasting head, clear light straw colored. Aroma is fresh fruity, yellow apples, hay, flowers, apple peel, yeast, grass, minerals, sour apples. Taste is slightly dry sour-ish fruity, sour apples, apple cores, hay, flowers, yeast, minerals, sorrel, apple peel. Medium bitterness, slightly dry sour-ish fruity mouthfeel. Nice enough.

Bottle, 75cl. 2020 vintage. A sparkling one, leaving some white bubbles on top of a clear golden colored body. When popping the cork the aroma was quite sulphury, but that turned out to be just a whiff which was gone when poured into the glass. There's plenty of fresh apple, some notes of alcohol and grass, with apple cores, melon and some generic fruity sourness, if that gives meaning. It's semidry, nicely carbonated and full-bodied, with a touch of alcohol warmth. Fresh apple, some overripe apple notes and apple cores, with hints of melon, green grapes and grass. A bit short finish that feels a bit rough in a way, but not alcoholic. Anyway, it's a fine cider indeed, dangerously easy drinkable for the ABV, and quite tasteful. A bit more complexity wouldn't hurt though, but it works really fine as is. 211210

Forholdsvis pålitelige notater fra Jæren Ølfestival 2021: klar, blek strågul nesten uten skum. Herlig eplearoma og -smak med tydelig fruktsyre, lett perlende munnfølelse. Good stuff! 0,75 flaske fra sideriet.
