Black with a brown head - Malt aroma with some chocolate and vanilla - Malt body with dark malt flavours and some vanilla and chocolate flavours as well - Dark malt finish with some fruity tones - This was good

440 ml can, as Monkey Brew Cygnus X-1 Imperial Stout, from Vinmonopolet Hinna - Stadionparken. ABV is 10%. Black colour, moderate beige head. Aroma of roast malts, molasses and coconut. Warming mouthfeel. Sweet and rich flavour, notes of roast malts, chocolate / cocoa, vanilla, treacle and coconut.

Draught, taster at Oslo Craft Beer Festival, blue session. Almost naked at the surface of a rustic-black body, scattered lacing. Vanilla chocolate aromas, smoothly roasted. Mix dark malt-forward taste of nuts, grainy chocolate and a liquorice support. Rounded roasted chocolate malty ending, not overly sweet. Likable sipper. (Oslo 07.05.2022).
