Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is roasted malt, oak, chocolate, whisky, tart dark fruits, berries, Flavour is tart and sourish with a light sweetness and some surprising bitterness in the finish. Body is medium, could have been a bit fuller. Overall pretty good, though the sourness will rub some the wrong way.

Bottle. Almost black. Somewhat perfumed floral aroma. Whisky dominating both aroma and flavor. Citrus, flowers. Slightly herbal. Tart. Really delicious.

0.33 l bottle from 'Het Biermoment', bottled in June 2017, cellared for over one-and-a-half years. Pitch black with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, sourish-funky, fruity and gently roasty aroma of dark chocolate, cherries, red berries, licorice and red wine. Gently sweet, malty, gently roasty, sourish, quite fruity and a bit funky taste of dark chocolate, cocoa powder, coffee, licorice, red berries and red wine, followed by a medium long, gently roasty-bitter, earthy-dry, vinous, tartish and woody finish. Medium body, smooth, slightly astringent and gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Very tasty, the sourish fruitiness adds another dimension to it. Sometimes a little infection does magic!

Bottle. Black pour. Aroma of red fruit, brett, chocolate, oak and tannine. Taste has dry brett, oak, chocolate, red fruit, tarr, booze, tannine and a little licorice. Clearly infected, but the flavor is actually quite nice.

Zwart met minimale kraag. Aroma en smaken van geroosterde en gebrande mouten, chocolade, brett achtig zuur, whisky, matige tot redelijke body, iets te dun qua textuur voor een ris, en il vind het zuur wat storend en dua niet zo aangenaam. --- Beer merged from original tick of Hellegijt Barrel Aged Ben Nevis on 25 May 2018 at 16:21 - Score: 7
