In the late 1800’s these strong, well hopped stouts were brewed for export by Scottish breweries such as William Younger & Co.
Using a base of pale, brown and black malts we produced our own version.

Аромат вроде бы и в стиль с нотками жареного зерна присуще стилю, но при этом кислинка слишком большая. Немного зерен кофе и даже бобов. Цвет черный, угольный, пенка достаточно большая и крепкая. Вкус снова слишком кислый от кофе и сухой в теле что не ждешь от этого стиля. При этом есть нотки бархатистости от солода жареного. В целом норм.

Tap at Taphouse, Copenhagen 17/08/2023 Roasted and sweet with notes of cocoa and coffee, singed brown sugar, dried fruit, coffee, medium plus body, dark malty lingering finish. Great.

On tap at Taphouse CPH. Black with creamy and lasting off-white head. Roasted aroma with coffee, chocolate and dark berries. Sweetish hard roasted flavour with coffee and charcoal.

Tap @ Væskebalancen. Black with small beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, caramel and a little dark fruit. Flavour is roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, liquorice, sweet, strong coffee, pine and medium bitter.

Tap @ Væskebalancen Bar, Aarhus. Clear very dark brown with a light brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt and heavy coffee. Flavor is quite sweet and light bitter. Sweet and light bitter finish. 010623

On tap. Pours black with moderate foamy tan head. Aromas of chocolate, vanilla and slick roasted malts. Flavors of dusty dark chocolate, black coffee, and lots of roasted malts. Bitter chocolate finish. Tasty. Great for the ABV.
