Bottle. 13.4%. It pours a minimalistic dark beige head over a black body. Lots of chunks, from the oats i guess. The aroma has alcohol, roasted malts, cocoa and some coffee, with a pleasant chili touch. Some burnt notes. Even a hint of cellar. It's full bodied, sweet and warming with a gentle bitterness. Both chili and alcohol burn. Dark chocolate and cocoa, some roasted malts and chili in the flavor. Hints of licorice, some burnt notes and molasses. Rather sweet. Lasting finish. Good thing the alcohol and chili deals with the sweetness, else it would feel cloying. Still a bit too sweet though. 230430

Bottle at Bourne. Jet black thick and oily. Very little is any head. Aroma and taste are bitter chocolate and growing spice from the chili. Full thick body heavy going.

Bottle thanks to cgarvieuk. Appearance - opaque black. Tan to fawn head. Nose - smokey and peppery with dark chocolate. Taste - smoke and chilli spice. Dark chocolate. Palate - medium bodied and smoky with a spicy edge. Overall - good, although I don't really like chilli in beer.

Bottle thanks to cgarvieuk. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aromas of smoked chilli, chocolate. Taste is coffee, smoke, capsicum. Light heat on the finish.

Aus der Flasche (Vintage 2021) im 2021-10 getrunken. Direkt aus der Flasche deutliche geräucherte Paprika und Dunkle Schokoladen-Aromen. Am Gaumen - Ist da Soja Sauce drin? Nein aber sehr ähnliches Aroma mit der leicht geräucherte Paprika-(Chipotle)-Aroma und wie so oft bei den Nerdbrewing Stout viel dunkler Schokolade. Hier ist auch ein elegante Chili Schärfe wie ein leichtes Prickeln auf der Zunge bemerkbar. Aber alles sehr elegant und passend zu den Aromen. Auch hier begeißtert die wunderbare Balance der Aromen dieses Stouts. Ein tolle Schoko-Chili-Bombe!

Bottle. Black color with white head. Aroma is smoked chili, a touch soy sauce. Taste is mild chili, a bit smoke, some hotness in the back. Oily mouthfeel with almost flat carbonation. Very good!
