A throwback Westcoast IPA with some modern tweaks. Super smooth with a load of piney dank, and some fruity citrus hop notes.

473ml can. Pours a slightly hazy amber gold with a medium, foamy, short lived, off-white head that leaves curtains of lace. Mild aroma of caramel malt, orange and floral hops. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, earth, orange peel and piney hops in a crisp, dry, bitter finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Well balanced, but a bit underwhelming. Drinks more like a pale ale.

473 ml can. Pours a dull amber with full head. Aromas of doughy malts, candied pineapple and soft pine. Flavors follow same with emphasis on malts.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Beautiful copper colour, clean, with medium sized head. Some arom aof malt, of orange peel, light dairy. Soft mouthfeel, with little caramel flavour, undefined hops (not exactly resinous, not fruity), and traces of butter.
Haters are going to hate this; as it stands, a flawed but drinkable West Coast IPA that is not even too much old-style.

Bright amber, small intense bead. Piney citrus hop nose. Bright hop profile, orange notes. Light malt in back, long medium hop end. Great lace

Okay foam on a soft hazy medium copper body, some vague carbonation. Piney orange zest on the nose, caramel, slightly floral. Taste is malty hops, more orange zest, carbonated well but thin. Could use a little more junk in the trunk.

Dull look. Malts are a bit sticky and thud. Weedy hop character - that’s really bright and appetizing. I’d prefer more bitterness in the back but the hops are on here.
