To build a big beer, you need wheat, lots of it. And oats, boatloads. Then all the pils malt and flaked barley you can get your hands on. But your beer can’t be totally saturated until you’ve overflown the kettle with as many hops as you can muster. For this beer, we used Yakima Chief’s Cryo Pop Hop Blend, a hop medley of the most delicious sticky compounds, cryogenically frozen to extract all that concentrated lupulin – the aromatic stuff that makes Saturation beers smell so damned saturated. You’ll get mind-boggling notes of stonefruit, citrus and tropical fruit and as the name suggests, the aroma truly pops from the glass.

473ml can. Pours a hazy yellow-gold with yeast particles in suspension and a small, foamy, long lasting, white head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet fruity aroma of bready wheat malt, orange, peach, cantaloupe, earthy yeast and piney hops. Sweet fruity flavour of bready wheat malt, orange, grapefruit, papaya, pineapple, peach, cantaloupe, earthy yeast, oats and piney hops in a dry, mild bitter finish. Medium body with a creamy, smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. Juicy and dangerously easy to drink. ABV is well hidden.

A hazed golden DIPA with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, sweet biscuit malt with resinous dank hops, light sulfur, interesting. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity biscuit malt with resinous floral hops, light dank notes, tropical fruits, alcohol warmth, very nice. On tap at brewery.

Opaque, sort of a dullish pale, thin head. Definitely a bit too much alcohol and phenols…the fermentation isn’t working at all for me…leans into the excesses of tipa without the style and nuance of the other Cabin brews.
