Bottle. Golden color. Apple and soft citric cidery notes in the aroma. Thin. A mild apple sourness in the flavor. Hint of lemon. Low on carbon. Lovely!

Fles 33cl thuis. Fruitig, rood fruittonen, ergens hoptoontje, prettig zuurtje, makkelijk drinkbaar, droog. Rodenbach invloeden. Prima body voor 2,5%. Verrassend. (18-1-2019).

330ml bottle, from trade with MonsterMagnet. Many thanks! Pours a dark reddish / dark purple amber, no head. Aroma is lightly fruity, lightly herbal. Taste presents a fruity sour character with red hedgerow berry fruit. Wouldn’t have slotted in the saison box, more of a crisp light fruit sour beer. Pleasant and fruity enough.

Bottle from bierkoning as part of Euro swap, many thanks. Hazy amber golden color with medium white head. Aroma of yeast, some sourness, spices. Taste, distinct sourness, with vinous notes, light spice. Bit harsh bitterness in finish Overall refreshing beer.

Bottle @ home. Pours a hazy orange color. No head to speak of, or at least quickly disappearing. Aroma’s: grain, hay, light vegetal, fruity yeast. Retronasal it’s very fruity, sourish, a bit herbal. Flavor is light sour, grainish. Thin bodied. Short finish, no bitterness. Not bad, but I don’t really get the point.

Bottle from het Biermoment, BB 09 2017, 33 cl sample. Slight hazy golden color, short frothy head. Aroma is slight spicy and flowery saisonish, but mostly sour green apple and lactic notes. Soft citric and lactic acid, bit sweet corny malt. Hmm, I dont know what they intended this to be. A low alcohol beer? A cider/saison blend? If you consider the ABV, its ok, but overall Im not impressed.

Bottle [unlabeled bottle just marked as "sour saison", gift from the brewers, thanks Jurgen & Geralda!] @ home. A bit unclear orange golden color, no head. Aroma is a bit faint, at least I have a hard time describing it. Flavor reminds me of green apples and green apple peel, medium sourness initially but it quickly subsides to a light sour-bitter and rather dry finish. Decent body and carbonation. Room for improvement, but definitely a nice low ABV beer.
