37.5cl bottle from ABCbeers, shared with Kermis. Peaty aroma. Thin creamy off white head. Very hazy deep amber aroma. Peaty taste. Very good.

Bottle shared thanks to Deanso, as Islay edition, aliased to this. Pours cloudy brown with a thick off white head. Aroma of massive peat, caramel, toffee, sweet malts, some light overripe dark fruit but mostly overwhelmed by the peat. Flavour is over moderate sweet and light moderate bitter. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle from De Hopduvel. Hazy very dark reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and heavy peat. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. The peat is too dominant for my liking. 280615

From tap as 2014 islay. Pours hazy dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is smoked, metallic and peaty, iodine. Roasted, malty and breadish, dark malty. Bitter, roasted and iodine. Roasted malty finish.

At ZBF 15. Thnx for sharing, everyone ! Pours unclear brown, smell is pure peat. Taste is more peat, very intensely. Not my thing at all, and I can’t even say this is balanced.....

Sampled @ Zythos Bierfestival 2015 Trübe orangegoldene Farbe, sehr wenig Schaum. Geruch holzig, torfig, sehr malzig. Geschmack kräftig malzig, sehr torfig rauchig, Whiskey, alkoholisch.

@BFGM15, Schenkt zwart/bruin met kaki kraag. Aroma is in de basis goed, maar ook de turfachtige tonen komen er goed doorheen, Heb deze gezamelijk naast de Bourbon geproefd en conclusie was dat de Bourbon voor mij lekkerder was, de Ardberg was iets te aanwezig met (peated), turfachtige tonen.
