El Malecón was inspired by the light and fresh corn lagers famous to Mexico. Let this easy drinking adjunct lager transport you to the oceanside “Malecón” of your favourite Mexican town or city. Brewed with barley and corn and fermented with our house lager yeast, El Malecón pours a pale straw yellow with a mouse-like head. Aromas of lemon, honeysuckle, and dry spice lead to biscuity flavours of graham-cracker, corn bread and honey with a balanced bitterness and medium body. The finish is bright, crisp, and refreshing.

Poured from the tap. Clear gold with white head. Citrusy honey, straw, biscuit on the nose. Taste is more weak and bland, clean straw and corn malt taste. Doesn't have the follow through. Average.

Pale with haze, and a thick head. Full pale malt nose, slight biscuit, has some yeastiness, low bitterness. I mean it doesn't actually taste like a Mexican lager, but it's not a bad beer. Walks the line on being too yeasty, but just on the happy side of that.

On tap at Luppolo, pours a clear pale blonde with a medium white head. Aroma is loaded with tons of corn, followed by light straw and biscuity malt. Flavour is crisp and clean, with plenty of corn and straw, and a crisp, lightly bitter finish. Pleasant.

Very good white foam on a clear gold body. Aroma is soft corn maybe, a little sweet hops, rather timid. Taste is wet bread, vague sugar, even more vague corn and ends too watery. Needs to be more forthright in its approach, rather forgettable as it is.

Draught at Superflux, Vancouver
Cloudy blond colour. Delicate aroma of malt. Thanks to some residual sugar, it has some nice chewiness; nice light colored malts flavour, white bread, but it ends with a bit too much pith. Pleasant Lager, it has strength and character.
