On tap at Barnside, pours a deep dark brown / near-black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out toasted caramel, bready malt and gentle oats. Flavour is pleasant, with hearty oats, medium toasted malt, a hint of fruitiness, and very light sweetness on the finish. Decently constructed, maybe a bit under-attenuated. Not bad.

Draft pour enjoyed at Barnside, Ladner, and rated before mcberko. Dark amd dense jet black pour with an espresso tan foam head. Mild aroma of chocolate malts, toast. Smooth and slick front, with a robust, toasty linger. Creamy oat body heavily combated by the robust character and cool almost vanilla like note. Smooth, flavorful, and very tasty porter here.

473 ml can. Pours a very dark brown with moderate tan head. Aromas of licorice, dark fruit and roasted barley. Flavors of dark sugar and roasted malts. Simple. Nice.

Good black brown body and nice creamy beige foam. aroma is nice coffee and licorice, could be more bold though. Tastes of nice sweet molasses, cocoa, chocolate syrup. It's smooth but just a little too thin. A drinkable macro style porter, not much complexity though.

Almost black. Medium head. Toasty, sort of burnt character. It almost gets into a dark sugar groove but then dries out and that’s unfortunate. Moderate bitterness…i think this leaves some goodness on the table not having more residual sugars and seemingly skipping the finishing hops.

Black, fast fading tan head. Vague sweet nose and palate (dry malt). Thin and underflavored
