On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Beautiful dark ruby colour, moderate off-white head. Fairly strong and pleasant aroma, notes of malts, caramel and bakery / Danish pastry, also hints of fruit and English malt vinegar. Malty flavour with caramel and baked goods, but not overly sweet. The bitterness is low, as typical for the style. Pleasant to drink.

500ml bottle. Clear ruby red glimmering dark brown colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, decently lacing, beige head. Slightly grainy aroma, hints of red berries, a salient red currant note, maybe a touch of cherry, cautious herbal hoppy overtones with a touch of the berries’ shrubs. Taste is minimally metallic, fruity, hints of cherries and red berries, subtle sweetness. Fruity sweetness has a minimally artificial touch of fruit gums. Slightly light bodied.

bottle from Bierzwerg. Brown colour, beige head, sourish nose. Light-bodied, malty with raisins and caramel, sour hint. No glory, perhaps something wrong with my bottle. Must try again.

Bottle looks really good, I like that label. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head, fine brownish color. Starts soft-malty, not too roasty, mild dry notes. Hints of caramel, mild earthy notes. Finish well balanced, still mild but not washy. Soft-malty aftertaste. A good one!
