Tap at SKAAL. Very dark brown body, off-white head. Full malty aroma, creamy, peachy, oaky notes, mint/nettle, smooth and sweet. Full malty body, again some oaky notes, fairly big, but also minty, citric notes. Weird profile / weird notes, but I actually enjoyed it a lot somehow for its weirdness!

Tap@Skaal, Copenhagen - black with a off white head. Dark sweet malty, prominent oaked wooden notes, almost overpowering, also kind of waxy, medium body, dark malty wooden finish. Really weird, not doing much for me.

Draft. A black beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma has notes of chocolate, and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, chocolate, and a bit of wood, leading to a bitter finish.

Bottle at Bogholderiet, Svendborg. Black with a lasting off-white head. Roasted aroma with lots of liquorice coffee and a touch of cherry. Sweet, roasted flavour with liquorice and a touch of ashes. Ever so light oak character rounding off a well composed, but rather sweet stout.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours an opaque black with a thick and lacing, beige head with good retention. Gluey aroma, some oak and a vague roastiness. Medium body, sweet roast and licorice, a hint of vanilla. Heavy tannin oakiness and again these glue accents you often get from an old and contaminated barrel (unless only oak chips were used?). Far from undrinkable, but I don't think the barrel or the chips do the base beer anything good. 030222
