Can at home. Pours deep ruby brown, nose is caramel, coconut, vanilla, taste is similar, incredibly hot and boozy.

440ml can @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Aug 23. Pours dark, hazed, beige head. Inviting caramel aroma. Smooth, full flavoursome profile with seductive caramel chocolate sweetness running throughout with very well integrated bourbon sweetness. Harmonious. Very much my kind of thing.

Can from Eltham Wines. Very dark brown (almost black) pour with a tan head. Nose is sweet tobacco, toffee, red apple, butter. Taste is treacle toffee, bourbon, red apple, nuts, some jammy dark fruits in there too. Heavy oaky sweet mouthfeel. Booze laden bourbon fuelled finish. Great stuff.

Can. Opaque dark brown amber beer, small tan head. Smooth palate, slightly viscous, reasonable fine carbonation. Soft rich dark malts, a serious brown sugar vibe into an estery mid, bitter bubblegum and sweeter ripe banana. Back end is pure salted caramel well blended with smooth but rich bourbon barrel soaked very ripe fruits that goes well with the strident salted caramel vibe. Light and semi dry finish. Savoury linger. Interesting, a salted caramel barleywine with a bit of a Belgo Quad estery vibe.
