The third one of thirteen beers for our thirteenth wedding anniversary. Norinfé's. Can 0.33l, four years aged. Lightly cloudy, dark red to brown/black colored. AROMA- coffee, roasted malts, maple syrup, liquor. FLAVOR- sweet, quite bitter, strongly coffee, roasted, maple, chocolate. Full bodied.

330 ml can, as Funky Fluid Umibōzu 2022, at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 11%. Nearly black (dark ruby red) colour, large beige head. Aroma of roast malts, coffee and maple syrup. Very sweet flavour, loads of maple syrup nearly overpowers the coffee and roast malts. Low bitterness. Smooth to drink.

pours surprisingly non-dark, almost light brown, light brown head. aroma of coffee grind, coffee and hard roasted malts. aroma is like a coffee porter.maybe a hint of something that resembles honey and raisins. Flavor is super super sweet, like - sweeter than honey. omg. sweeter than half the mead's i've ever tasted. wtf.. somewhere inside the sweetness is also a very nice coffee flavor. so.. espresso mead. I know funky fluid and their creativity, but this one was a surprise. SO sweet. tastes good, but what a surprise.

Can. Dark chestnut color with medium beige head. Aroma of coffee, maple syrup, ry, light dark chocolate. Taste is sweet with caramel, maple syrup, moderate coffee, milk chocolate. Alcohol is well hidden. Nice winter sipper.

33cl can (vintage 2022, BBF: 23/08/2023) from Kaffee Bazaar webshop. F: huge, tanned, long lasting. C: dark, opaque. A: malty, roasted tones, coffee, cocoa touch, maple syrup, spicy. T: full malty base, maple syrup, cocoa, coffee, bit herbal, spicy, nutty, toffee, decent bitterness but more on the sweet side still at least some coffee tones, soft to medium carbonation, nice, enjoyed.
