33 cl bottle @ home, about one year after bottling. Pretty much clear amber orange/color. Not much head. Aroma’s: sour, woody, very lambic-like, but a bit more alcoholic, overripe apples. Retronasal it’s sour, wood/tannines, sour apples. Flavor is quite sour, complex, some light (malty or alcoholic) sweetness is almost subdues. Alcoholfeel is quite strong, warming. Medium bodied. Finish is dry, woody. Not entirely my thing but certainly very interesting and well made.

Bottle at home, 3rd December 16. Pours amber, not much head. Aroma is sour, fruit, figs, grass. Taste is caramel, tart, sour notes, fruit, amazingly complex, refreshing. Not my idea of an old ale, but excellent non the less.

330ml bottle from trade with monstermagnet. Many thanks! Pours hazy amber, thin cream coloured head. Aroma of earthy spice, caramel. Low carbonation. Taste has the fruity hints of a good barley wine, some caramel, earthy herbal notes, spice, leather, oily.. perhaps veers away from it’s original intention but it’s still enjoyable.

0.33 l bottle from ’De Bierkoning’, bottled in December 2015. Minimally hazy, glowing, orangeish amber with a thin, soapy, off-white layer. Sourish-fruity, slightly funky aroma of orange, some barnyard, leather, white grapes and hints of caramel. Sourish-fruity, slightly funky taste of orange, barnyard, rhubarb, leather, oak and some caramel, followed by a medium long, quit tart and oaky finish. Medium body, spritzy and quite astringent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice, complex and very refreshing stuff! Lovely!
