Bottle. Mitchell’s Wines. A Xmas gift of the missus. Clear pale orange gold. Solid white foam. Looks great. Sweet damp sweaty grain and hops erring towards grassy leafy and mulch like. Crisp and clean with good bitterness. Easy drinking number one bev on Boxing Day my dang.

500ml bottle [as Bierzelt Gaudi Festbier]. Opalescent, dark yellow-ish to orange, golden colour with average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Grainy and strawy, pale malty aroma with a touch of spelt. Taste is minimally sweet-ish, pale malty with a minimally grainy and strawy touch, mildly bitter hoppy counterpart; hops and malts find together on somehow neutral ground and loose their individuality, build an amalgamation without real fruitiness, bready-ness or the like. Oily texture, smooth and soft, silky palate, fine and soft carbonation. Very homogeneous, harmonious, very nice mouthfeel, soft water - not bad.

Fläschla: Clear, deep golden, small but stable creamy white head, mild to moderate sweet-bitter of pale malt with very delicate toasty-caramelly traces in the background, average mild (herbal-woody) bitterness in the background; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, nearly medium bodied with a franconian softness; slightly lingering smooth sweet-malty finish with a late and delicate bitter-woody counterweight. Not demanding, but pretty well drinkable...
