Aroma of malts and floral hops. Flavour is more malty than the expected hoppiness. Moderate bitter finish. A bit light on the palate. Not the most extreme or interesting APA, but I found it refreshing and easy to drink.

Bottle. Golden, small white head. Nice aroma of grapefruit and citrus, but a bit faint. Taste of amarillo hop and some pine. Bit watery. This beer needs more body and character.

33 cl bottle @ De Arendsnest as ”Pale ale nr. 2”
Aroma is fruity and hoppy with apricot and some tropical fruits. Feels fresh! Flavour is hoppy with grapefruit and some apricot typical to "Dutch Pale Ales." Also some malty tones, biscuits and hints of toffee. Refreshing, although the apricot tones do not fit here completely.

33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Clear amber colour, white head. Aroma is almost absent, slightly floral, caramel, metallic hoppiness. Flavour is just a hint of malt, metal, caramel, grassy bitter finish with a hint of citrus. Light-bodied. Ok, but very boring IMHO.

Bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. Slightly unclear orange - golden color, medium sized off-white to beige head that diminishes quite quickly. Aroma is malts, hops, lightly soapy. Taste malts, hops, bitter hops. Long lingering bitter aftertaste. Decent body and suitable carbonation. Well I must say that it’s mainly bitter hops and bitterness in the flavor, which I happen to like, but people who are expecting a fruity hoppy APA will be disappointed. Hopefully they’ll read this rating so they’ll know what to expect.

1st try (23rd May ’14): 33 cl from De Bierkoning @ home. Clear, light amber color. White head that leaves a 1 bubble layer. Strong butter(scotch) aroma with a little fruitiness. A bit less buttry retronasal, some more fruitiness and some hops. Flavor is moderate bitter with some buttery sweetness. Light bodied. Earthy bitter finish. I don’t think this is how it was intended to be... 2nd try (23 May ’14): from tap @ Kobalt, with the brewboys themselves. Light amber color. White head with good lacing. Aroma’s: fruit, grassy hops, light grain. Flavor is light bitter with a light malty sweet backbone. Light bodied, not too thin. Finish is long with increasing bitterness. This is how it was intended.
