Wine barrel aged fruit sour blend, with some of the basic beers (though not all) containing raspberries and cherries. Thanks tderoeck for sharing at the Sambre saison fest of June 2022. Thin, loose and open, bubbly, snow white ‘head’, hazy warm yellow blonde robe with rosy glow (the latter from the diluted fruit sours, I presume). Aroma of wet oak wood, apple peel, unsmoked shag, paprika powder, roses, farmland and strong sulfuric aspect (freshly lit matches). Tart onset, purple gooseberry, sour grape and green apple, medium carbonated with supple, somewhat vinous body; cereally malt core dried by lactic and lemony sourness, even rhubarb- and sorrel-like (sharp oxalic acid), yoghurty as well, the dryness further enhanced by woody tannins and ongoing sour green-fruitiness. Lots of sour fruit effects here from not only the basic beers, but also fermentation itself; I cannot say that I found the nose very attractive, but the flavour made up for a lot. Interesting attempt.

18/VI/22 - 50cl bottle @ De La Sambre Saison Festival, BB: n/a (2022-726) Thanks for sharing!
Pretty clear orange beer, small creamy white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: nice, funky, very fruity, apricots, brett notes, nice! MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: nice acidity up front, very lemony, fruity, a little bitter, some yellow peaches, dry. Aftertaste: fruity, very acidic, funky, lemon juice, hint of grapefruit, dry and rather bitter finish.
