Sandy’s North Sea Sessions Patrons Project is all about creating full-flavoured beers at ABVs that won’t result in a total wipeout. This time we’re teaming up with Chain House Brewing, based not far from the Lancashire coast themselves.
We’ve each selected some of our favourite dripping-with-juice US varieties in the shape of Idaho 7 and Citra for waves of sweet tropical and citrus, while NZ hops Rakau, Riwaka, and Motueka create swells of peach, passion fruit, grapefruit and lime over the silky smooth, murky pale ale base of Super Pale, Vienna, Oats & Wheat.

BB 14/09/22. Somewhat gusher. Hazy yellow, lots of frothy white head. Smells somewht fruity still, light. Nice mouthfeel, not watery, soft, easy. Taste has probably gone down a bit, feels very muted, but no off flavours. Still fine.

Keg @ Pegasus, Canterbury. Hazy light golden with a small head. It's an easy enough tropical fruity brew - evident in both aroma and taste but more stated in the latter. Its citrus factor is low so there's only some bitterness.

The flavour is moderate bitter and sweet, with a fresh, crisp, light citrus, earthy, mineral, light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.
