Dorada amarillenta, nebulosa. Buena espuma, cremosa y de retención correcta. Aroma marcado por la levadura, con el tipico plátano. En boca tiene un tono muy suave, muy agradable, con ligera carbonatación. Sabor con notas dulces y sobre todo frutales del plátano, amargor moderado. Buena weizen

Cloude deep yellow with a tall head. Wheat bread, banana, leather, spicy & fruity notes, some hop. Medium dry. Light ending hop bitterness. Not bad.

Optisch wunderbar, schönes Gelb im Glas, Sahneschaum. In der Nase fruchtig, hefig. Im Trunk Nelke, dezent bitter, cremig, passt.

Bottle. Well-rounded Hefeweizen with the usual banana and wheat. Spicy yeast with some clove. Sweetish with low bitterness. Decent mouthfeel. Medium body. Fine.

Hefeweizen from Bayreuth, the city in eastern Bavaria perhaps best known for Richard Wagner's Festspielhaus. Thick, dense and foamy, egg-white, stable yet thinning and eventually breaking head on a misty warm old-golden robe with khaki tinge, cloudy and more peachy with the rest of the sediment added. Aroma of very strong mashed and ripe dessert bananas, clove, cinnamon, cooked red apple, ripe pear, banana bread, sweetclover, acacia honey, hints of mandarin or even orange. Sweet, estery-fruity onset, banana, ripe pear and honeydew, softishly carbonated with sweetish, soft and 'fluffy' brioche-like maltiness and a gentle streak of sourish, more grainy wheat underneath - the sourishness working well with the phenolic spiciness further at the back, bringing a 'sunny', even somewhat orange-like aroma to the whole. Clove- and cinnamon-like spiciness is present as well, along with a mild floral hop bitterish note bringing things to a perfect closure, as the sourishness of the wheat and the bready sweetishness of the barley linger on. Bright, 'summery', quite exuberant Hefeweizen, yet still firmly rooted in traditions with no frills attached: this to me is an excellent example of its sophisticated and ancient style. Absolutely lovely Weissbier.
