Light-yellow Pilsener color of 6 EBC units, very pleasant hoppy smell thanks to the finest Hallertau aroma hops, ideally rounded despite the for a Pilsener high original wort of 12.8%, fine pearly carbon dioxide development, resulting in a very fine recipe, long-lasting foam, very stable.

Day 1 of the post Xmas Bamberg Jolly, tap at the Kneittinger Keller, Regensburg, 24/01/14. Clear golden with a good sized white head. Nose is bread dough, citrus, grass, simple but clean. Taste comprises lemon rind, straw, light caramel, bread dough, hay, Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light grassy bitterness in the closure. Solid pils, one of the best Iβve had, low on the cereal/grain flavours.

Bottle at GBBF 2012 - London. Pours perfectly clear yellow with a fine, white foam head. Doughy and crispy cereal malts on the nose. Medium sweet flavor with more crisp and doughy pale malts, some white sugar, low bitterness. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Crisp finish, clean, lots more doughy malts, white bread. Excellent stuff. Simple and totally drinkable. (August 2012, score: 4.1)
Draft at the brewpub. Pours perfectly clear yellow with a big, fluffy white head. Good floral hop character, with some sugary cereal, faint straw. Light bodied with average carbonation and creamy texture. Sweet finish, again a little sugary, with more cereal and straw. Tasty, if a bit basic. (January 2014, score: 3.5)

Bottle looks simple, premium-like. Beer in the glass very zippy, huge head. Starts mild, hoppy-dry, a bit soapy. Finish more balanced, less metallically. Spicy notes. Not too bad!

4/VIII/2012 - on tap @ Brauerei Kneitinger (Regensburg) - BB: n/a - (2012-826)
Clear golden yellow beer, creamy white head, very stable, adhesive, nice lacing. Aroma: grains, stable, hay, little herbal, some overripe fruits (banana). MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: some (carbon?) sour first, a little bit of grains, slight sweet touch, citrus. Aftertaste: some citrus, grains, hay, cow fodder, nice bitter dry ending. Very refreshing, I'll give 'm that, but maybe the high summer temperature in the city had something to do with it as well. ;-)
