Bottle picked up from Edeka, Kelheim and consumed at home Sunday 18th December 2022, we're making Stollen (it's a Stollen off!) listening to an old Suede album Dog, Man, Star after previously listening to the new album Autofiction. We went for a very nice walk through the snowy woods around here earlier today, but it was bitterly cold not getting above -6c all day. Pours copper colour with a white head, excellent clarity. Toffee and malt flavours, a little metallic tinge, slight fruity sweet edge. Good.

Schneider Märzen Spezial, Flasche aus dem Biershop Bayern. - Bronzegold, blank. - In der Nase zartes Trockenobst, Aprikose, Karamelmalz. - Antrunk fein karamelmalzig mit vornehm verhaltener Süße, Trockenobst, Toastbrot. Im Hintergrund gediegene herbale Hopfenherbe. Milder rezent, vollmundig. Elegant hopfenherber Abgang. - Durchdachtes, stimmig komponiertes Märzen mit elegantem Karamelmalz und feiner, sehr aromatischer Hopfung. Prima!

Dunkelorangene Farbe, ganz leicht trüb, leicht muffig-süßlicher Geruch. Der Antrunk ist weich und würzig-süßlich. Zum Hauptteil wird das Bier ganz leicht brotig-süßlich. Für meinen Geschmack schon zu aufdringlich-würzig. Der Nachgeschmack ist brotig mit einer ganz leicht herben Note, dazu würzig-süßlich und ganz leicht hefig.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein dunkel-goldgelbes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch malzig würzig, Geschmack angenehm malzig würzig mit ganz minimaler Bitterkeit.

Clear deep golden color, small white head. Light butterness, herbal hops in the nose. Light to medium bodied. Some sweetish maltyness, light butter, light hoppyness in the aftertaste. OK but uninspiring.
