Bottle looks simple, but good. Beer in the glass deep golden, almost copper coloured. Starts strong, malty, dry, modest bitter. Fine spicy-wheaty notes. Intense finish, modest alcoholic. Quite drinkable and a good beer!

Bright orange-golden beer; good dense, yellowish head. Pure malts nose, with a fine "feinherb" touch in the finish. Malt, slightly caramel, even cornflakes flavour. Bit sticky palate, light to medium body. A bit sticky-malty, but sampled immediately after the cleanest beer possible... Maybe a little prejudice, but it is indeed just a tad too sweet to my liking.

(Euro2 bottle, was called the “Märzen” at the brewpub) Hazy, golden colour with a big foamy, slightly off-white head, quite persistent, leaving some lace-work. Sweet, moderately worty malt aroma, slightly bready with biscuit-like accents, a touch of honey and shy notes of hops. Sweet flavour, medium to light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Malty, minimal-yeasty, slightly bready and worty taste; sweet, malt-accented finish with a fair herbal hops character. I´d rather call this a Zwickel with Märzen-strength.

Bottle (purchased at the brewery): Mid-sized head, quickly diminishing to a small, quite stable foamy layer, hazy, lively carbonation, deep golden to light amber coloured; grainy-malty, a bit nutty nose with a touch of toasted malt and an illusion of herbal hops; solid sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; distinctive sweet-bitter finish with a touch of herbal hops in the aftertaste. solid, pleasant, good.......
