This lager is named in memory of the mayor (starosta) of Kladno who was killed by Nazis at the beginning of occupation of Czechoslovakia.

Note: Previously 5.5% and known as U Kozlíků Ležák Starosty Pavla 12,8°.

Tap at the brewpub. Hazy amber-golden body, thick off-white head. Odd caramelly, fruity aroma, bit dusty, herbal sweet malry taste, fermented berries, okay, trace bitterness, the house touch evident. Just odd.

# 478; 10/2016. Lehce podprůměrný pivo. Výrazně sladový, sladký, s malým řízem a nevýrazným chmelením.

(Keg at the market, 20160614) The beer poured pale amber and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had  butter, malts and caramel. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, butter, grass, caramel and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. Nice malt forward brew.

Točené(@U slovanské lipy): Deep golden to light amber coloured, hazy, stable and lacy off-white head, sweetish yeasty-malty nose, some subdued hops underneath; sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied, a bit sticky; yeasty traces in the moderately bitter and malty finish. Not bad, but just not very Pilsner-like…

Draught @ U Radnice, Prague. Comes as Svetle Special 12 Starosta Paula. Pours unclear golden with a small white head. Heavy butter and diacetyl. Flavor adds paper. Thin and off. Probably been sitting in the tap for too long. Re-Rate Easter 15. Market @ Namesty Rep. Tap. Really fresh and soft floral grassy hops and biscuit. Lovely. Even At 09.30 this was a beauty! 2,1-3,8

PETka, kindly delivered by swooper - díky moc! Slightly hazy deep golden colour, mid-sized white head. Hoppy nose. Malty background with lots of Saaz hops that adds a herbal-resiny character and decent bitterness. A well-balanced and delicious beer.
