500ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Vika in February 2013. Stored in my cellar and shared with Finn and Vegard (untappd) at post Christmas gathering. Naked black surface. Deep ruby-dark in body colour. Oak and tart berries on the nose. Taste of dark caramel, black currant, oak, and dried fruits. Acidity of fruit and berries to a drying finish. Well balanced. Tasty stuff, perfect for sharing (Tromsø, 30.12.2015).

Borefts 2015, Day one. Tap. Roosvice rode wijn makkelijk zuurtje, vol rood fruitig. Backlog from 2015/09/25. // Brettfest. Alvinne tasting @ Foeders. Taster 5. Dark brown with no head. Sweet and sour roasted malts, oak, vanilla, deep earthy red wine. Over medium sweet, moderate sour. Medium body and no carbonation. Very supple and smooth light oily. From tap. Pours hazy amber with a small off white head. Aroma is mild acetone and slight fruity. Citric, fruity, wineous and mellow. Lingering fruity and slight citric. Ends dry and fruity. Towards acetone.

Borefts VII. Day 2. Keg. Hazy deep amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry. Decent fine carbonation. Good Flemish Red sourness, some cherry. Gets a little sweeter in the thin dry finish. Decent.

[9/25/15] Draught sample at Borefts Beer Festival 2015 in Bodegraven. Hazy dark amber with a beige head. Aroma of sour fruits, oak, a bit of vinegar. Sour flavor, woody, with fruits and some vinegar. Rounded mouthfeel.

Keg at BBF 7, Bodegraven, 26/09/15. Hazed chestnut brown with a decent beige swirl. Nose is musty wood, oak tang, dark fruit rinds, spice, nutty, cherry skins, tobacco. Taste comprises funky licks, wood must, dates, dark fruit rinds, light spice, pipe tobacco, hint of liquorice root. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough approachable sour.
