Dark opaque brown color, small brown head. Sweetish, roasty aroma. Full-bodied. Roasted, a bit coffeish, alcoholic, sweetish (maple cyrup!). Some lingering roasted-hoppy notes.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Tempo. Thanks zvikar. Pitch black-colored with a beautiful brown head. Roasty aroma, somewhat burnt, with coffee and some dark chocolate. Bittersweet flavor, roasty, burnt, with coffee, a touch of maple and dark chocolate. Full-bodied, wonderful silky mouthfeel. Really great.

Bottled@omhper. Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is coffee bomb, alcohol and some liquorice. Very odd as such, without a real balance. Flavour is toffee, really strong coffee and alcohol and other sweet elements. Out of balance also in flavour.

Bottle at chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2013 - London. Pours oily black with a brown cream head. Charred malts on the nose with accents of dark chocolate. Medium to big sweet flavor with rich chocolate, dark bread, cocoa, alcohol and earth. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Warming finish with earthy bitterness and burnt wood, dark chocolate. Good one.

Bottle, 12.5%. Quite roasted aroma, also quite jammy. Black colour. Small dark brown head. The flavour is sweet and very roasted, also a nice jam note. Good hop bite in the finish. Syrupy mouthfeel. Tastes very good, but it is a bit much, really.

Bottle. Pours nearly black with airy tan head. Dark aroma of malt, caramel and chocolate. Sweet flavour of malt, chocolate, resins and caramel. Sweetish aftertaste. Warming alcohol presence. Sweet but not excesssively so. Nice, indeed.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Very black, beige head. Aroma of licorice, crude oil and resin. Sweet with full body and viscous, syrupy mouthfeel. Dominated by crude oil, molasses and resin. Disharmonious with distorting inky bitter sweetness. Mikkeller Black-light, but more just messed up.
