Bottle picked up from Sulzberger Bierhaus Pfaffenhofen an der ilm and consumed at home Sunday 12th January 2025 listening to Lambrini Girls - Who Let The Dogs Out after helping Loz prepare a Beef in Red Wine meal. We did a wonderful Snowshoe hike near Dreisessel and Tri-border area yesterday. Pours mid gold, very hazy and with a large white head. A little soapiness initially but then the wheatiness comes through. Wow genuinely didn't realise that this was 7%. Nice mouthfeel, there's a little bit of banana, like this.

Light perfume and some booze. Kind of a light weizenbock in flavour. Clear golden pour with ok head. Light bitter finish with spring flower sweetness. Maybe a little lemon, coriander. Pleasant. Tap at Churchkey.

500ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, brass colour with average to huge, frothy, very slowly osteoporosing, mostly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Sweet-ish, wheaty malty and yeasty fruity, yeasty spicy and slightly ephemeral, mildly grassy-spicy, minimally floral, hoppy aroma, notes of banana, pear, clove, a touch of resh hay, petals, mustard seed, sweet mustard, phenolic interludes, minimally bready malty aspects. Taste is sweet-ish, yeasty fruity, slightly yeasty spicy and wheaty malty, notes of pear, hints of banana, clove, some pepper, leafy overtones, weak, fruit acidic tartness, a touch of mustard seed. Creamy texture, smooth and soft palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Complex, fairly spicy aroma, less complex taste, fruitiness tends towards pear rather than banana - good.

Flascherl (Dank an Jonas für das Sahnehäubchen!!!: Pale golden, hazy, smaller - but persistent - creamy white head, relaxed carbonation visible, moderate sweet-sourish citrus-fruity tonzesty nose with a decent yeasty-wheaty background; moderate sourish-sweetish flavour, low bitterness, medium bodied; lingering dryish zesty and citrussy finish, yeasty and hops in the aftertaste. Unusual, but great Weizenbock...
