Bottle, thx to fonefan. It forms a small, light beige head over an unclear, dark brown body. The aroma has lots of chocolate, with nuts, roasted malts and some hints of dried fruits. Flavorwise too, I think it’s too much on the chocolate side. I love chocolate, but this isn’t very nice. It’s too sweetish and almost sickening, although a little sip or three is pleasant. Medium to full body, with pleasant carbonation. Don’t think I’ll return to this one. 120324

0,5 l. bottle. Love the kitschy label: "Aye,aye captain, full sail ahead..." The label says that: Connoisseurs enjoy this beer at 20 degrees C. So I did, well sort of...: Dark brown colour with a creamy, tanned head. Without any doubt the aroma shows that this is a chocolate beer: Apparently big on caramel and chocolate malts, but in sort of a miserable way - like the cheapest milk-chocolate in your local hard discounter. Sweet taste with a medium body, however a bit thin texture. A little roasted and bittering hops shows in the finish, so its a porter, not a chocolate milk after all! I’m such a connoisseur...

Bottle, 5.8%. Distinct, sweet chocolate aroma. Clear very dark brown colour. Good brown head. The flavour has a good chocolate note, but is also sugary. Why the added sugar? Makes it too sweet, IMO. But not bad, afterall.
