17/2/2023. Cask, courtesy of danlo, cheers Ed. Pours clear very pale golden with a small bubbly white head. Aroma is herbal, grassy, citrus, malt. Moderate sweetness, medium earthy bitterness. Moderate body, slightly oily, soft carbonation. Not bad.

Cask at Winding Wheel Beer Festival, Chesterfield 2023. Golden colour, white foam head and aroma of grains, citric. Taste is malty, grains, currant, straw, with tangy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry bitter finish. Quite OK.

Cask (gravity) at Smithfield, Derby. Pours a golden yellow. Aroma is sweet with traces of honey. Sweetness in the mouth too at first, but after a well floral hops rise to the surface along with corn and crusty bread rolls. Later still come some hints of barley sugar. Finish is bitter and slightly dry. This is rather nice.

Half-pint, cask ale at the brewpub, Chesterfield Arms. A white head blanketing the glass, next-to-clear golden body. Moderate smell of dusty hops and cereal malts. Malt-fruity flavours, ripe citrus and bread. Smooth malt-fruity bitterness to the ending. Easy to drink. Nice session qualities. (Chesterfield 08.07.2022).

Cask. Gravity. Rail Ale fest. Clear gold with a white foam. Bit buttery this. Sweet with grassy hop. Decent nick but not one I’d want more than a half of. Fair play it’s a brand new brewer though.
