440ml can. Almost clear golden, big frothy white head. Aroma of grapefruit, orange. Taste of big citrusy hops, grapefruit, orange, resinous, malts, slightly earthy, bitter finish. Light-medium body. Decent Kolsch/IPL/IPA/whatever.

Half-pint, tap on North Bar in Harrogate. Clear golden body, film-type layer, clingy lacing. Promising herbal hops and cereal malts on the nose. Malt-fruity flavoured, moments of bread like malts and noble hops. Fair drying bitter close. Fine depth. Okay partner to my cheese board. (Harrogate 07.07.2022).

Can from Ellie’s Cellar. Clear golden body with a thick white head. Lively carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of straw and ready salted crisps. Flavour of cereal and underripe pear. Medium body with a slick texture. Light fizz. Crisp and bitter. Less fruity than I expected; leans more towards lager than IPA.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - golden yellow with a light haze. Thin and quickly disappearing, white head. Nose - brown bread and light orange. Taste - brown bread, orange and mango skin. Palate - light to medium bodied, tangy middle and finish. Overall - a fruiter Kolsch than is usual.
