Can: Deep brown coloured, no head to speak of, cloudy, distinctive bitter-sweet aroma of chocolate, vanilla, bisquit, salt and roasted malt; solid bitter-sweet flavour, full bodied, (more than…) oily MF, higher viscosity; lingering thick bitter-sweet chocolatey finish with a port-vinous alcohol-burn in the aftertaste. Great beer (?), or is it just a liquid chocolate-cake…

Intensiver malziger Beginn, Schokolade, etwas Lakritz, hohe Viskosität. Kakao, wenig Vanille, cremig, geringe, gerade noch vorhandene Karbonisierung. Brezel kann ich nicht ausmachen, vollmundig, zum Ende hin alkoholisch, leicht salzig. Sehr langer Nachgeschmack. 10/14/10/14/10/13

Black with a foamy brown head of modest duration. The advertised aroma is accurate: a dessert cake sprinkled with hazelnut, vanilla and chocolate. Slight port wine undertones. Delightful aroma. Too bad it fades somewhat with the quickly disappearing head. Taste is bitter to bittersweet with the hoppy bitterness just winning out against a sticky, indulgent sweetness underneath. Full-bodied, heavy, smooth, rich. Mild carbonation. The alcohol remains hidden. Nice, and not overdone.

Can, thanks a lot Fin! Black, low head. Praline dark chocolate, vanilla, fudge, salt. Full bodied, full on chocolate, some saltiness, chewy bread notes, broad dark chocolate and licorice notes. Pleasant dry, salt. Eiskonfekt vanilla retronasal.

Can. Black color with beige head. Aroma is a bit salty, chocolate, cocoa. Taste is good chocolate, mild salt, some vanilla, good roast and bitterness, liquorice in the back. Thick oily mouthfeel with natural low carbonation. Very tasty, and not overdone at all.

Can picked up from Camba brewery, Seoon, Bayern and consumed Saturday 11th June 2022 at Zellersee campsite with Jude and Baz listening to Selima Theiba (a Jude birthday choice) after a Jude's birthday loop Hike from Zellersee campsite, Germany to Hängebrücke Klobenstein Austria. Pours black with a cappuccino coloured head that rapidly disappears. Wow this is fabulous, really thick mouthfeel, really substantial. This is creamy, chocolatey, there is creamy vanilla, not sure I pick up the pretzels though? Wow, it's a superb stout, a little warming in the mouth but not too much and not boozy. Great beer.
