A collaboration beer with Cassels Brewing Co., New Zealand. Our Belgian style beer was originally brewed at 8.7% in August 2019. This limited edition one-off brew has been left to age in wooden Rioja barrels for 14 months giving it a final alcoholic strength of 10.2%.

The beer has the classic Dubbel style. Dark in colour with a deep reddish hue. The sweet malty and spicy flavours are evident but, these have been further enhanced by the distinctive Rioja aroma and taste of dark fruits from the barrel-ageing process.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Dark brown colour, beige foam head and aroma of biscuit, woody oak, vanilla, red wine. Taste is sweetish, malty, vanilla, oaky, woody, with some dried fruits, red wine notes and earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry oaky bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.
