Our ruby ale Red Macgregor brewed to 4.0 ABV. Deliciously perfumed with hints of spiciness and toasted malts. Rich hop fruits giving way to a clean dry refreshing hop bitterness.

This here is a solid and fine ESB. Malt forward aroma, caramel, slightly buttery, but it works like buttered biscuits. Hints of herbal and grassy hops. Flavor very balanced, and earthy, with a soft smooth carbonation. This is just a great drinkable beer. Appealing reddish tint with a large foaming khaki head.

Pours dark amber into an English pint. Off-white micro head with excellent retention leaves sheet lacing in spots. Sour caramel aromas. Smooth and full with upfront tangy smoke and a brief, dry caramel finish.

Bottle. Strong hops and malt aroma. Medium amber color with moderate head. Slightly sweet malt and nutty flavor with a moderate hops finish. Great beer smell and taste with no adjuncts - a nicely made beer.

Bottled. Copper-colored with a nice beige head, and no carbonation. Piney hops, Cascade?, and some spicyness in the aroma. It has a weak, but nice citrus flavor and bitterness. Chalky mouthfeel and a bitter finish. (060428)

Smallish white fine-bubbled head over dark mahogany body. Lovely sweet, smoky flowery aroma with hop notes. Taste is very like the smell, but with slightly more pronounced smokiness. The finish is nicely rounded, but mostly a simple fading. A very good ale; strong, interesting taste, yet easily drinkable. (0.5l bottle, self-poured in lager glass.)

(Bottle 50 cl) A beer that doesn’t promise too much - this is red indeed. Beautiful reddish brown, filtered with a small and vaguely light brown head. Very soft, almost sweetish with pronounced malty notes and a very limited bitterness. Some smoke in there too. Nice. 040904
